A Path Prepared

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:8-10) If you ever have anxiety about where you fit in God's work, about if you have "usefulness" to God or purpose, let this one sink in.  All the things for you to do that are from God have been prepared in advance for you, already.  You don't have to worry that God's going to forget about you.  You don't need to strive or try to convince God about your "good idea."  The good works He has for you have been laid out already. We tend to focus on the beginning of this passage, and rightly it deserves our focus!  But let's not overlook where it leads to.  The whole thing is of God.  He rescues us from the darkness and blindness and deadness of living for ourselves,
